Cefalù Italy

My wife in I enjoyed a week at the Club Med in Cefalu, Sicily. Having been only once before in a Club Med resort (skiing last year) which was also an amazing experience with Club Med - we decided to give a Mediterranean holiday a whirl.
The Viletas rooms are lovely-big and comfortable-kept very clean and daily change of towels-stocked minibar (it’s an all inclusive) the food at the restaurant is incredibly good - different each day and a lot of fresh vegetables. Fish is A+ as is their meat and the deserts are dangerously good.
Service at reception and on the tennis court and daily workouts are all well manned with instructors who are true professionals.
Anyone thinking of enjoying Italy - I recommend giving Club Med in Cefalu a try.
Special as mentions: at reception Juliet and Victoria- outside tours Jo - Lena in the gym and work outs- LULU sommelier in the restaurant.

What a magical place! The food is to die for, the views are stunning and just being 10-15 minutes away to Cefalu town in Sicily is something very special. We loved our room and all the facilities! We can't wait to go back!

Club Med Cefalù is set in a truly stunning location, beautifully maintained, with villa-style rooms that are comfortable and of good quality. The food is excellent, and one of the highlights is the ability to walk to Cefalù along the seaside—a lovely experience.

However, some aspects did not meet expectations. The G.O team was not always friendly or present, and the Chef de Village was essentially invisible throughout the stay. As a result, there was very little atmosphere, and the usual Club Med spirit was noticeably missing in this Exclusive Collection resort.

I strongly recommend choosing a villa with a sea view, as other room locations can be hit-or-miss and may lack privacy.

Overall, the setting and dining are wonderful, but the signature Club Med energy and engagement are unfortunately lacking at Cefalù.

We loved the vibe of the resort and haven't been on a holiday like it. The enthusiasm and effort the staff went to to bring the feel good factor was incredible. From tennis lessons to pasta contests to mozzarella festivals to the spectacular evening entertainment all hosted by Club Med staff.

Our son has a nut allergy and we chose Club Med thinking it was predominantly a la carte. However the beach restaurant was closed and the palazzo had same menu every night. So, our only choice was the buffet. However, Andrea and his team bent over backwards to keep him safe. Special shout out to Sous Chef Cozmin who was on hand to talk us through every meal, really understanding the seriousness of the matter. Even when he was off duty it wasn't a problem!

Another shout out has to go to the enthusiasm and welcoming nature of Ivan in welcoming our 8 year old son to the bar...they became best friends by the end of the trip...what a character!

Thanks also to Manu who was great with the tennis lessons and Thomasso for his general friendliness throughout all the land sports.

Finally, everyone who is behind the scenes...they may not grab the headlines but you should all be very proud of your efforts guys...keep up the good work!
