We came here for a business trip and honestly it felt more like a holiday. The place has a really nice atmosphere, relaxing but at the same time there’s always something to do. We had fun trying archery, chilling by the beach, and just hanging out around the resort.

Big shoutout to Zoey and Grayson, they really took care of us and made everything easy. Super friendly and helpful, we really appreciate it.

From the very moment we landed, we knew this holiday was going to be something truly special. We were promptly received at the airport and whisked away to Club Med Cherating. It was a seamless start — no stress, no waiting, just a smooth journey to paradise.

At the resort, we were greeted by Nesh, an absolutely amazing and energetic young man. His warmth and enthusiasm were infectious! He walked us through the resort, pointing out facilities and offering helpful tips on how to make the most of our stay. Beyond the warm welcome, Nesh also ensured we were taken care of right through our nine-day stay, which made us feel truly valued and at home.

We are a family that loves getting involved in activities, and Club Med Cherating has something for everyone. Over the course of our stay, we immersed ourselves fully and left with memories we will cherish forever.

A Special Note on Satish — The Sommelier Extraordinaire

One of the most memorable people we met was Satish, the sommelier. He was simply outstanding — warm, professional, deeply knowledgeable, and attentive.

But beyond his expertise, it was his kindness and outstanding service that left a lasting impression. Always greeting us with a smile, taking time for conversations, and ensuring we felt cared for, he made us feel truly valued. Spending time with him was a privilege, and we left feeling like we had made a friend.

Leadership and Hospitality

We also had the pleasure of meeting Dee and Gauthier, who stepped in seamlessly in the absence of their CDV, Clayton. They were visible throughout the resort, approachable, and attentive.

Their leadership and presence made a noticeable difference — we felt genuinely at home and well cared for.

Tennis — A Daily Highlight

One of the standout experiences of our stay was tennis with Brian. He was there every day, full of energy and good humor. His witty commentary kept everyone engaged and laughing, creating such a lighthearted and welcoming environment. Whether beginner or experienced, Brian ensured everyone had a great time.

Sailing & Lifeguard Team

The lifeguard and sailing team was incredible! We had the pleasure of meeting Zack, Nazmi, and Gede — professional, attentive, and great fun to be around. Sailing with them was a highlight: the perfect blend of excitement and relaxation. Their passion shone through in every session, making each outing on the water unforgettable.

Teens Club — Pure Joy for the Kids

As parents, nothing made us happier than seeing our daughters fully engaged and happy. They had an absolutely fantastic time at the Teens Club, thanks to Angela and Ainn.

The program was packed with creativity, adventure, and fun. Often it was a challenge to convince the kids to join us for meals because they were so caught up in the activities. Angela created a strong bond with them — caring, energetic, and inclusive. The Teens Club team truly made the holiday unforgettable for our family.

Bar Team — The Heart of the Resort

The bar team deserves a special mention for their warmth and hospitality. Poppy, Indra, Shen, and especially Charo were always welcoming and ready with a smile. Charo’s impressive bartending skills stood out, and every drink was made with flair and attention to detail.

Evenings at the bar were filled with laughter, conversation, and genuine connection. The team created a lively and fun atmosphere that became one of the highlights of our stay.

Dining — A Feast of Flavors

Food is such an important part of any holiday, and Club Med Cherating did not disappoint. The variety of cuisines was excellent, and we loved sampling so many different dishes.

We especially enjoyed meeting Susanth, the Indian chef, whose biryani and aloo paratha were outstanding. His warmth and passion shone through in his cooking.

If we could suggest one small improvement, it would be balancing the menu more carefully. On some days, multiple seafood curries appeared across Indian, Malaysian, Japanese, and Chinese sections, limiting options for non-seafood eaters like my wife. Offering chicken, lamb, or beef alternatives alongside seafood would make the experience even better.

That said, the quality and taste of the food were consistently excellent, and the variety kept every meal exciting.

Spa — Relaxation at its Finest

We treated ourselves to several spa sessions, and each one was pure bliss. The massage therapists were skilled and attentive, creating an atmosphere of complete relaxation. After days of activities, it was the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate.

Evening Shows & Performances

Every evening brought something new with the resort’s shows and performances.

The entertainment team’s energy, passion, and creativity were inspiring. Each performance was unique, well-organized, and executed with enthusiasm. Kudos to the GO team for bringing so much joy and energy to every night — we loved every single show.

Special Connections

An unexpected joy of this trip was meeting Nithya from the finance team. We connected instantly and shared wonderful conversations and laughter throughout our stay. She became a part of our holiday memories, and we look forward to seeing her again — perhaps next time in Japan!

As our holiday came to an end, we reflected on just how truly special this experience was.

Yes, the resort buildings could benefit from some updates. But honestly, the incredible GO team made us completely forget about that. Their warmth, care, and dedication transformed our stay into something far beyond a typical vacation.

When it was time to leave, it felt like saying goodbye to family. Many of the GOs came to see us off, and I won’t lie — there were tears in my eyes as we hugged and said farewell.

It was a bittersweet moment that perfectly summed up the essence of Club Med Cherating: it’s not just a place you visit; it’s a place you belong.
