Quebec Charlevoix Canada

My wife and I stayed for five nights in September. We are from Victoria, BC. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. Our room was ready, and the staff were cheerful.
The resort is a few years old and very clean and fresh. We had a family room with separate bedrooms. We sleep better with a wall between us. The second room had two single beds, and the main bed was king-sized. Both beds were excellent, and the resort was quiet. The odd tired baby or frustrated child, but nothing bad. We did not have a view, but that did not matter as we had lots of places to admire the view, often with a delicious drink.
The staff were excellent. Shoutouts to Alex, Maria and Edward. Alex is a friendly, entertaining Brit who went out of his way to help. Maris was full of energy and had an infectious joy. Edward was a bartender who remembered my order and made my drinks to perfection.
The food and drink are included. The food was delicious. It did get a bit repetitive after 5 nights. There are no "specialty restaurants"; however, they do offer a fondue and Tomahawk steak for two at an additional cost. We did not try them as we were happy with the main dining room food.
Beer and wine were served tableside at dinner. They were really good quality wines. You could not get cocktails tableside, so I just ordered them from the bar and brought them to dinner.
The area is natural, with some nice walks. The village, about a 10-minute walk away, has few amenities, and the nearest town is about a 20-minute drive. The cable car to the base of the ski resort is included and is a great experience. On the mountain, there are a lot of walks, and you can bike at the resort if you want to try your hand at mountain biking. I imagine in the winter it is amazing.
The entertainment is mainly in French, which was a bit of a detraction from the experience. The acrobatics and the physical skill of the performers were very impressive. We went to bed around 10 pm, so we did not take part in any late-night activities.
The trip was great value for money. We spent around $600 per night. I would definitely go again and am looking at other Club Meds in the Caribbean.
On our last day, we paid for a late check-out as we had an evening flight. It was money well spent.
You can't do an honest review without a bit of complaining. The cost of laundry was ridiculous. It is token-operated, and tokens cost around $10. So, one load is $20+ tax. The only other issue is that the room didn't have a kettle. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will bring my own.

My son and I had a wonderful stay at Club Med Québec Charlevoix! Early October was absolutely beautiful, with golden fall colors and gorgeous weather—I highly recommend visiting then. I loved the hiking, delicious food, and excellent service.

The kids’ club team took wonderful care of my son, giving me the chance to truly relax while enjoying a trip together. One of our best getaways—we’d love to return!

Club Med excels and offering great experiences and high quality food in a beautiful setting. We travelled with our two kids who loved the mountain biking and had a great time with the staff. Hiking the hills is amazing and the views in all directions were stunning. The staff seemed to be having a great time and that made the whole experience welcoming and fun.

Downsides would be small rooms that lack a cozy vibe (IKEA in a shoebox) and not enough comfy lounging areas (I've never seen a ski resort without a single fireplace).

This was our second time visiting Club Med Charlevoix and, BRAVO! We have zero complaint. In spite of higher food cost etc, their culinary variety and quality has not changed (phew!). Awesome spa facilities and we seriously appreciated free access to hammam, al fresco hot tubs with a gorgeous view and their big (and clean!) swimming pool! Thank you Amin - one of their lifeguards - for thoughtfully bringing me a swim goggle without me asking for one! The team at the Massif de Charlevoix for guided hiking - incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. I especially appreciated Claude (took me to Cascade and L’Ancestrale routes) and Adrien who recommended - and somehow made it happen - the ascent to Les Cretes even though it wasn’t even on their default schedule! Their partner car service company HBR was on-time and professional just as they were in 2023. On our way back to the airport, our vehicle had a flat tire but our driver, Manuel, quickly rectified the situation and still got us to YQB well on time! They also provided us transportation to and from Baie-St-Paul and a nearby restaurant outside of the town (after a frustrating attempt to get a “local cab” - don’t waste your time). From endless snacks by the Theatre to entertainment to gorgeous panoramic views from the inside, we can’t wait to return for the third time! Merci Beaucoup!

Have been many times and go back every year. Setting is beautiful. Team was great...food great too. Already checking my calendar for next year. I was with friends and family (no young children). So many fun/interesting things to do and explore. Rooms are great.
